Different design principles

Industrial air conditioners have large air volume, small enthalpy difference, and high heat-to-moisture ratio; on the contrary, civil air conditioners are characterized by small air volume, large enthalpy difference, and low humidity/heat ratio. The heat-to-humidity ratio of industrial air conditioners is as high as 80% to 90%, that is to say, 90% efficiency is used for effective cooling equipment, and only 10% of energy consumption is used for moderate dehumidification. However, the heat-to-moisture ratio of household air conditioners is 60% to 70%, and the dehumidification efficiency is 30% to 40%. The result of using a household air conditioner in the computer room is that its humidity is too low, which not only threatens the static electricity of the equipment, but also greatly wastes energy.

Industrial air conditioning requires no condensation on the surface of the equipment

The design point of the outlet temperature of industrial air conditioners is about 8°C higher than that of ordinary air conditioners. The design concept of ordinary household air conditioners can only perform the cooling function in summer. When the outdoor temperature is -5°C or below, it cannot be cooled, and forced operation will greatly shorten the service life of the air conditioner! The special air-conditioning design in the computer room meets the requirements of outdoor temperature changes. It can work normally at -40°C to +45°C for 24 hours, including cooling and heating. Therefore, only by improving the reliability requirements of the compressor, motor and refrigeration system can the problem of high failure rate be effectively solved.

Air filtration capacity requirements vary

The air cleanliness of industrial air conditioners is 0.5 micron/liter <18,000. In other words, in one liter of air, particles larger than or equal to 0.5 microns should be less than 18,000. However, the general household air conditioner only has a simple filtering function, and the filtering effect of its filter does not meet the requirements of the computer room at all.
